Felony drug prosecutions are a specialized assignment in the State's Attorneys Office. The defendants in these prosecutions are usually drug dealers and users of illegal drugs. The drug prosecutors also conduct forfeiture hearings in which the State seizes money and property obtained through drug offenses and used in furtherance of drug offenses.
