Triad

Mission Statement

The mission of Peoria County TRIAD is to promote working relationships between seniors, law enforcement, and civic & business leaders in order to provide educational and training venues which address the crime, health and safety issues that affect our senior citizens and the communities they live in.

What is Peoria County Triad?

Peoria County Triad is a not-for-profit (501c3) coalition of Businesses, Law Enforcement and Community   Seniors' groups that bring health, safety and welfare resources to community dwelling seniors throughout Peoria County.

History

Triad is a national program that began in 1988 when the National Sheriff’s Association, International Association of Chiefs of Police, and AARP signed a cooperative effort to work together to reduce crime victimization and unwarranted fear of crime affecting older persons. The Illinois State Triad was formed in 1990 to guide a state-wide response to the critical issue of crimes against older persons. The Attorney General's Office prioritized the organization of Triads throughout the state. In 1998, Peoria County Triad was formed. Since then we have grown and continue to work very hard to serve the senior community in Peoria County.
