PCAPS Fostering 411

Peoria County Animal Protection Services is always in need of Fosters, especially during the summer months. Foster families help give extra care in a calm, comfortable environment for those animals who need it. Fosters are most often needed for nursing mothers and their babies, orphaned young animals who need bottle-feeding, and animals recovering from surgeries, treatments, or procedures.

Potential PCAPS Fosters are required to submit and pass the required application process before consideration. Consideration is up to the discretion of the Shelter Services Supervisor and PCAPS Managerial Staff.

Interested in fostering? Contact Alex Menke, PCAPS Shelter Services Supervisor at or 309-672-2440.
